| Lent is the 40-day journey from Ash Wednesday to Easter, a time to refocus on our life with Christ and journey with him to the cross of Good Friday and the resurrection at Easter.
Ash Wednesday
The Lenten journey begins Ash Wednesday, February 16th, 7pm, as we gather to receive ashes on our foreheads and to remember that “dust we are and to dust we shall return.” The service also includes an extended time of corporate confession, and Holy Communion.
Lenten Wednesday Services
Wednesday during Lent, (Feb.24th-Mar.24th), 7pm, we will gather in the sanctuary for a song and prayer, and then break into small groups to discuss the book, “Marks of the Christian.”
Palm Sunday, March 28th, 8:30 and 10:45
We begin Holy Week, Jesus’ journey to the cross and beyond, as we remember his arrival in Jerusalem as a different kind of king.
Maundy Thursday, April 1st, 7pm
A service of Holy Communion at Prince of Life, celebrating with other churches from Oregon City
Good Friday, April 2nd, 7pm
A service of remembrance and thanksgiving for the gift of Jesus on the cross that brings us life.
Resurrection of Our Lord/Easter, April 4th - 8:30 and 10:45
Join us for Easter worship as we celebrate God’s resurrection power! 8:30 (more traditional) or 10:45 (more contemporary) with an Easter breakfast (freewill donations to the youth group) from 9:30-10:30am. Nursery care provided all morning. |
