| POL has developed a reputation on the grapevine for reaching out to Oregon City and the greater community in practical ways with the love of Jesus. We are involved with Love INC, a network of Clackamas County churches serving neighbors in need. POL facilitates the “Start Right” project, which in 2006 gave out over 1,000 backpacks loaded with school supplies to local children in need.
The congregation hosts a number of outside groups, including Clackamas County parenting classes and Drug Court functions.
Our Sunday School children support teen moms at Christmas, and make sure troops overseas get care packages.
Our high schoolers travel to an inner-city area every summer to work with homeless folks, and involve themselves in service to the local community all throughout the year.
Women’s circles are involved in making quilts for burn victims and residents of nursing homes.
All of God’s people have a mission to serve in their daily lives, and we are committed to equipping our people to live out that calling.
